
On the fourth day of his diplomatic tour in the Middle East, Argentine Chancellor Gerardo Werthein met with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates. During the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the bilateral relationship.
In this regard, it was agreed to advance in deepening the investment treaty, with the purpose of establishing a more solid and predictable framework that favors the development of strategic projects between Argentina and the United Arab Emirates. It was also communicated that work will be done on mechanisms to facilitate the access of goods and products between both countries, improving the conditions for the entry of both Argentine exports in the Emirates and Emirati products in the Argentine market.
Werthein's agenda will continue in Saudi Arabia, where the Chancellor will meet with government authorities and representatives from key sectors such as energy, trade, mining, and technology. Additionally, he has a meeting scheduled with the Sovereign Fund of that country with the aim of strengthening the bilateral relationship and exploring investment opportunities in Argentina.
