During the meeting, various issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed, and the commitment to strengthen the relationship between both nations, which is one of President Javier Milei's priorities in international policy, was reaffirmed.
The meeting addressed key issues for cooperation between Argentina and Israel, such as joint development in strategic areas like agriculture, agro-industry, technology, defense, security, and efficient water management. According to the Foreign Ministry in a statement, both leaders emphasized the importance of promoting trade, investment, and innovation as engines of growth and shared prosperity.
Isaac Herzog praised the economic reforms pushed by President Javier Milei and his team, highlighting the favorable conditions being created in Argentina for investment and development.
During his visit to Israel, the chancellor was accompanied by Ambassador Shimon Axel Wahnish and the Chief of Staff of the Foreign Ministry, Ricardo Lachterman. Werthein's agenda also included a visit to the Israeli Parliament (Knesset), where he met with its head, Amir Ohana, to discuss various aspects of the relationship between Argentina and Israel and the upcoming meeting between the presidents of the Chambers of Representatives of both countries.
Subsequently, the chancellor and Ambassador Wahnish met with the Minister of Economy, Nir Barkat, to explore new opportunities for economic and commercial cooperation. During the meeting, possibilities were explored to strengthen investment in strategic sectors, enhance the exchange of technology applied to agriculture and agro-industry, and promote joint development in innovation and efficiency in water use.
The meetings held reaffirmed the commitment of Argentina and Israel to continue consolidating their strategic alliance, promoting a common agenda of development, security, and cooperation for the benefit of both countries.
