Alfredo De Angeli from PRO points out that electoral alliances will be formed district by district. Controversy over the appointment of judge Ariel Lijo and Macri's aspirations.

Electoral Debate in Argentina: District Alliances

The president of the PRO bloc in the National Senate, Alfredo De Angeli, announced a possible alliance between his party and La Libertad Avanza (LLA) for this year's elections, although he pointed out that this alliance would be district by district and would largely depend on the will of the governors. De Angeli emphasized that the PRO will not support the appointment of judge Ariel Lijo to the Supreme Court.

In statements to a radio program, De Angeli mentioned that although the president of LLA, Javier Milei, had mentioned the possibility of a national alliance, he finds it more feasible for it to occur district by district, given the different contexts of each region. He expressed that although he had not personally discussed the electoral topic with Mauricio Macri, he believes that the PRO is close to La Libertad Avanza in terms of change thinking, demonstrated through support for the majority of projects submitted by the Executive Branch to Congress.

Regarding the potential candidacy of Macri as senator for the Federal Capital, De Angeli commented that he does not see Macri in that role, suggesting that he considers it more appropriate for him to lead the party. As for PRO leaders joining LLA, he expressed his surprise and mentioned that it hurts him when someone leaves the party, but he stated that he would personally remain in the PRO. He emphasized the importance of the party leader having broad consensus within the organization.
