The tragic accident in the province of Corrientes that claimed the lives of two motorcyclists has generated a profound impact. Miguel Leiva, 32 years old, died at the scene of the accident, while his colleague Enzo Ibarra, 26 years old, was transferred to the José de San Martín School Hospital, where he was hospitalized in serious condition until he also passed away hours later.

A security camera located at the intersection of Santiago del Estero and La Rioja streets captured the moment of the crash. In the images, it can be seen that the driver of the van, Alan Vandecaveye, did not reduce speed, did not stop, and fled the scene. After the case went viral and the statements of the victims' relatives were made, Vandecaveye turned himself in along with his lawyer at the First Police Station and was detained for the crime of double manslaughter.

"It is known that he will get out because he has a lot of money. We are two destroyed families," exclaimed Melania Bernal, Leiva's niece. "We want justice," she added, emphasizing the need for justice for the loss of their loved ones.

The accident occurred early Sunday morning when the two coworkers were struck by the van driven by Vandecaveye. The case has caused shock among the local population, which demands that it not go unpunished and that the circumstances leading to this tragedy be clarified.
