In the midst of a thwarted robbery, a shooting broke out that resulted in the death of one of the criminals. His accomplice attempted to flee the scene but was captured moments later after causing a traffic accident. At the scene, investigators seized three firearms, one of which belonged to the National Gendarmerie, while the police officer used his service weapon, which is currently undergoing examination by order of the Homicide Prosecutor's Office of La Matanza, which is handling the criminal case.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Crovara and San MartÃn streets in the La Matanza district while the officer was performing additional service. According to police sources, two thieves on a motorcycle attempted to assault the officer upon recognizing him in uniform.
