Claudia Rucci announced today her resignation from the position of General Director of the Human Rights Observatory of the Senate of the Nation for personal reasons. Rucci, a former national deputy, was appointed to her position by Vice President Victoria Villarruel. The resignation comes after Rucci's participation in activities related to the "complete history" of the 1970s in the Senate.

In her statements, Rucci mentioned: "Today I submitted my resignation, for personal reasons, from the position of General Director of the Human Rights Observatory of the Senate of the Nation." When announcing her resignation, the Peronist leader also shared a video on her social media account, showing images of her work in the upper chamber.

With Rucci's departure, Villarruel loses a close collaborator at a time of internal tensions with President Javier Milei. In previous months, Rucci had commented on the relationship between the presidential duo, highlighting Villarruel's frankness and mentioning differences that created humorous situations for her.

Rucci expressed her gratitude to those who shared the work with her in the field of Human Rights by stating: "My gratitude to all with whom we shared the effort towards Human Rights being for everyone and for all." Additionally, she highlighted Villarruel's way of doing politics, characterizing her as more empathetic and receptive to differences of opinion.
