Javier Milei Highlights Argentina as a Global Model

President Javier Milei participated in the Davos Forum, where after just over a year in office, he emphasized that Argentina has become a global example. "The world embraces Argentina," he said. He noted that it was the beginning of a new Argentina that had been infected by socialisms for a long time, and stated: "I don't feel so alone anymore."

Argentina has become a global example of fiscal responsibility, commitment to our obligations, how to solve the problem of inflation, and also of a new way of doing politics, which consists of telling the truth to people directly and trusting that people will understand, highlighted the head of state.

In a speech filled with criticisms of "woke" culture and before business leaders from around the world, Milei pointed out: "I found partners in every corner of the planet to form an international alliance." "Slowly, an international alliance of all the nations that want to be free and embrace the ideas of freedom has been forming," Milei considered.

In this regard, he added: "Throughout this year, I have been able to find partners in this fight in every corner of the planet, from the wonderful Elon Musk, to the fierce Italian lady, my dear friend Giorgia Meloni; from (Nayib) Bukele in El Salvador to Viktor Orbán in Hungary; from Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel, to Donald Trump in the United States."

The President asserted that the West invented capitalism "based on saving, investment, and hard work." "We managed to allow every worker to multiply their productivity by 10, 100, or why not by 1000, by overcoming the Malthusian trap; however, at some point in the 20th century, we lost our way," stated the head of state. He added: "A new political class tied by ideologies of collectivist cuts, which took advantage of moments of crisis, saw an opportunity to accumulate power. All the wealth accumulated by capitalism would be redistributed under some scheme of centralized planning, giving the initial kickstart to a process whose dire consequences we are suffering."
