In an airfield in Argentina, a small plane coming from the north was forced to make an emergency landing due to a mechanical failure. The owner of the land where the plane landed noticed the unusual situation and decided to alert the authorities, suspecting a possible link to drug trafficking.
The police intervened following the report, and the case was forwarded to the Federal Court of Gualeguaychú. According to reports, the plane was carrying more than 350 kilograms of cocaine. Although the occupants tried to bribe the landowner by offering him money in exchange for silence, the authorities were already alerted.
The woman traveling in the plane, in advanced stage of pregnancy, was immediately transferred to a hospital. The two occupants of the aircraft, Bolivian citizens, remain detained under the supervision of federal judge Hernán Viri. Investigations continue to determine the exact amount of drugs carried by the plane.
This incident highlights the fight against drug trafficking in the area, where, according to sources, dozens of planes enter the country undetected. The uncertainty about the final destination of this illegal cargo remains unresolved, raising questions about the networks and routes used for drug trafficking.
