President Javier Milei will begin the second stage of his international tour this Tuesday heading to Switzerland. Accompanied by the presidential delegation, he will travel to participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos. His trip follows his attendance at the inauguration ceremony of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, at the Capitol last Monday, an occasion marked by the coldest temperatures in Washington in the last 40 years.
During his stay in the United States, Milei not only had the opportunity to greet President Trump but also participated in the Starlight Inaugural Gala and met with Marco Rubio, confirmed as Secretary of State in the new administration.
On Tuesday, he will depart for Zurich, Switzerland, on a special flight scheduled for 10 PM. Accompanying the president will be the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, as well as the ministers of Foreign Affairs, Worship, and International Trade Gerardo Werthein, and of Economy, Luis Caputo.
Arriving in Switzerland on Wednesday at 6 AM, Milei has an interview scheduled with Bloomberg News the same day. On Thursday at 6:15 AM, his participation in the World Economic Forum is planned, where he will deliver a 30-minute speech on important topics, similar to the one he gave in January 2024.
After his participation in the World Economic Forum, Milei will hold a meeting with James Quincey, CEO of Coca Cola, and then continue with a working meeting with executives of international companies called 'Country Strategy Dialogue on Argentina.'
In recognition of his work, President Milei will be awarded the Röpke Prize in Zurich by the Liberales Institut, a classical liberal think tank founded in 1979. Finally, at 5:30 PM, he will lead the flight back to Buenos Aires with a stopover in Recife, Brazil, and will arrive in the country on Saturday at 9 AM.
