National deputy for La Libertad Avanza (LLA) Juliana Santillana published a controversial message following the meeting between President Javier Milei and International Monetary Fund (IMF) representative Kristalina Georgieva. In her message, Santillana addressed those who criticize the National Government, calling the meeting a "total pride."
The official faced criticism for her social media post, which many users deemed reprehensible. In response, Santillana defended her message and explained the meaning of the word used, arguing that it referred to "things of poor quality or poorly done."
So far, the deputy has not removed or modified her post, and it remains to be seen if any representative of the Executive Branch will comment on it, given that Santillana is a public official.
Regarding the meeting between Milei and Georgieva in Washington, United States, the importance of the meeting was highlighted to analyze Argentina's economic situation from the past year and the steps to follow in the future. The president seeks to achieve a new agreement that could entail the provision of nearly 11 billion dollars and the possible elimination of the currency control.
