In the town of Benjamín Paz, Tucumán, a tragic incident has been reported in which a 24-year-old woman, identified as María Celeste Canaz Oilo, died due to burns on 100% of her body. The young woman was hospitalized with severe injuries and later lost her life. Authorities have detained a 36-year-old man, who is presumed to be her partner, while they investigate the circumstances surrounding this dramatic event.
According to official reports, the Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated an investigation for alleged femicide in Trancas, after the victim suffered burns caused by the use of gasoline as fuel. Neighbors who heard the young woman's screams for help called emergency services, who quickly arrived on the scene.
Authorities found the young woman in a workshop located at the back of the house, where the attack is presumed to have occurred. The alleged aggressor was arrested and taken to the Trancas Police Station, while Prosecutor Carlos Sale and his team, in collaboration with experts and firefighters, have taken on the case to clarify what happened.
According to witnesses and reports from local media, the tragedy occurred after an argument between the couple during a 15th birthday party. The fight intensified when returning home, where the young woman allegedly set fire to her partner's motorcycle. In an attempt to extinguish the flames, the man threw water on her, which caused the flames to spread and resulted in the terrible burns that led to the young woman's death.
The Tucumán Police continue investigating this alleged femicide to clarify all the details and bring those responsible to justice.
