According to official information, the vaccination will be available in public hospitals, health centers, and vaccination sites nationwide, even simultaneously with other vaccines from the National Calendar. In parallel, the Ministry stated that it has trained healthcare teams, published the technical guidelines for the 2026 campaign, and launched a real-time monitoring board to track the progress of vaccination and detect coverage gaps in each jurisdiction. Additionally, more than 1,800,000 doses have already been distributed across the country, with a new shipment of 1,018,640 doses scheduled before the end of March. The vaccination is intended for children aged 6 to 24 months, healthcare personnel, people over 65, pregnant women, postpartum women, and individuals with risk factors. Buenos Aires, March 9 (NA) – The Ministry of Health of the Nation will launch the 2026 influenza vaccination campaign nationwide this Wednesday, March 11, starting three weeks earlier than last year due to the advance of the respiratory virus season and the circulation of a new, more transmissible influenza A (H3N2) variant. The health ministry explained that the decision aims to strengthen the immunity of at-risk groups, reduce complications, and mitigate the impact of the disease on the health system during weeks of high viral circulation, as reported by the Noticias Argentinas news agency. For the campaign, the Nation acquired 8,160,000 doses: 4,700,000 adult influenza vaccines, 2,300,000 adjuvanted vaccines, and 1,160,000 pediatric doses.
