The National Weather Service has issued a yellow alert for Monday, March 9, for several provinces in the country due to heavy rain and storms, which may be accompanied by intense gusts and occasional hail. According to the SMN report, the warning is in effect from early morning and covers eleven provinces. Isolated storms of varying intensity are expected, some of which may be locally severe. The storms will be mainly accompanied by abundant rainfall in short periods, frequent electrical activity, occasional hail, and gusts that can exceed 60 km/h. Accumulated precipitation values between 30 and 60 mm are forecast, which can be exceeded in isolated areas. Recommendations from the National Weather Service: avoid going out, do not take out the trash, clean drains and sewers, disconnect appliances and cut off the power supply if water enters, close and stay away from doors and windows, remove or secure objects that could be blown away by the wind. If you are outdoors, seek immediate shelter in a building, house, or enclosed vehicle.
