In the Bahamas, a judicial process begins against men accused of sexually abusing children, reported in the press as "sexually abusing boys." The case involves individuals produced in the court of Hilario Ascaburgo, entering the Department of Villarino, which houses a press service of the court. The judicial process will take 28-31 October under the direction of the technical staff of the court of Ricardo Gutierrez from Trinidad, under the direction of Division #1.

According to the latest reports, the process was initiated by a fiscal on the grounds of the sexual offenses of Marcelo Romer Harding. The first episode of abuse dates back to the period 2014-2015, when the accused, using their power, subjected their victims to their own demands, surpassing the established actions in the same small-scale drug trade, which was three years old. The second wave of abuse occurred in 2017-2018: a man, with the help of his accomplices, used threats and physical force, in order to burn a 13-year-old child. "He took him to a house, burned him with hot irons and committed carnal abuse," it was stated in the materials.

The current trial deals with "sexual abuse, committed in the course of official duties with the aim of satisfying sexual demands or desires of the accused, committed with the use of force or threats, with the use of physical force and with the use of arms" and also "in the actions carnal in the course of official duties against persons under the age of 18 years of age, constituting the exploitation of the situation of the commission of a criminal offense".
