A 23-year-old man was apprehended after a distress call made by his partner during a domestic violence situation. The incident took place this Friday at noon in a house located on Panama Street 1200. The victim, a woman, showed injuries that, she claimed, were caused by her partner with a knife. Furthermore, the young man attempted to assault the members of the Special Motorized Support Group (GEAM) who responded to the scene while trying to take several appliances.
The GEAM personnel acted in response to the domestic violence call and managed to apprehend the aggressor in the house. After the incident, the young man was transferred to the corresponding police station. The specialized prosecution received the news and ordered the detention of the accused, as well as the seizure of relevant evidence for the case, such as the knife used in the incident and a firearm cartridge, among other items. The accusation pertains to Injuries, as stipulated by the prosecution after evaluating the victim's complaint.
In the words of an officer in charge of the intervention: "The prompt action of the GEAM was crucial to control the domestic violence situation, ensuring the victim's safety and preventing the aggression from escalating. It is important to report these cases and act swiftly to prevent more serious situations." The victim received medical assistance and is out of danger.
