The former soccer player Héctor “El Negro” Enrique expressed his support for the recent march in favor of retirees, urging more athletes and world champions to join such solidarity initiatives. In a video shared on social media, Enrique thanked the fans of Chacarita who participated in the march and emphasized the importance of ensuring that retirees do not feel abandoned.

Enrique, who was part of the Argentine team that became champion at the 1986 Mexico World Cup, voiced his support for the cause of retirees and called for more fans to unite with them in this demand. He stressed the significance of being close to the elderly and recalled a phrase from Diego Maradona calling for the protection of retirees: “We must be very cowardly if we do not defend retirees.”

The march in defense of retirees included the participation of various sectors and supporters of the Chacarita club, to which Enrique added his support for this noble cause. The former football player, who played for clubs like Lanús and River Plate, emphasized the importance of not leaving retirees alone in their fight for better living conditions.
