Federal Prosecutor María Virginia Miguel Carmona reported that the little one "is not here". This Wednesday, excavations and land removals continued on an 18-hectare plot in the so-called ground zero, the place where Lian was last seen. Following negative results, it was confirmed that no traces of the 3-year-old boy were found.
At a press conference at the site, the Prosecutor explained the details of the latest operations: "The last thing was to remove the bricks from the top part to form chimneys and, in case something was hidden there, the smell would emanate and the dogs would detect it." However, Carmona confirmed that "unfortunately, we have not detected Lian’s presence, in the hypothesis of his death."
In this context, she maintained that the little one "is not here" (Ballesteros Sud), which is why the search will continue in other key areas. "Everything that was done today resulted in negative outcomes. Lian is not here," she expressed.
Awaiting to know what happened to the little one on that Saturday, February 22, Florencia Giuzzio, the family's lawyer, told Radio Colonia AM 550 that the mother "is devastated." As the search progresses, the lawyer indicated that María Soraire is receiving psychological assistance due to her current state of health.
The operations in ground zero for the search for the missing little Lian in Ballesteros Sud concluded without traces of the minor. Therefore, secrecy persists about what happened to the boy more than 10 days ago.
