A French tourist reported being robbed by five women using the 'Black Widow' modus operandi in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Almagro. Security cameras in the building recorded the moment when the thieves entered and exited. The police report obtained by the Argentine News Agency details that last Friday night, the French tourist went to the Neighborhood Police Station 5A of the City Police to inform what had happened.
In his testimony, the tourist explained that that morning he arrived at his apartment located on Gascón Street 1,000, in Almagro, along with three women he had met in the Plaza Serrano area. According to his account, they consumed drinks in his home and then he fell asleep, without remembering more.
The security camera images show how three women entered with the tourist and later two more joined to commit the robbery. Upon waking up, the man discovered the absence of a speaker, a cell phone, a computer, a wallet with cash, and debit and credit cards.
In light of this event, the National Prosecutor's Office in Criminal and Correctional Affairs No. 47 ordered the intervention of the Community Investigations Division 5 (DIC5) of the City Police to investigate the case. Additionally, the captured images show the criminals already in the public way with a large black suitcase in which they allegedly stored the stolen items.
