In the La Matanza match, a driver of a ride-hailing application was the victim of a robbery that resulted in a tragic outcome. Leandro Omar Giménez, 31 years old, was murdered by a criminal posing as a passenger. The incident took place on a Tuesday afternoon when the attacker requested a ride from Moreno to González Catán.

Upon arriving at the supposed destination at the intersection of Achagas and Encina streets, the robber drew a weapon, threatened Leandro, and demanded his phone and money. When the driver resisted the robbery, the criminal shot him at point-blank range from behind and then fled the scene. Despite Leandro's attempts to seek help after exiting the vehicle, he was left lying on the ground and unfortunately died.

Authorities launched an investigation, reviewing local security cameras and gathering testimonies to identify the attacker. Thanks to these efforts, some characteristics of the alleged murderer were obtained. Two urgent raids were carried out, although the suspect has not yet been captured.

"The crime has left the local community and Leandro's relatives shocked, as he was simply providing an honest service through the ride-hailing application," said a police spokesperson. The search for the perpetrator is ongoing, in an attempt to bring justice to the victim's family and prevent cases like this from happening again in the area.
