Intense Search Operation for Missing Girl in Jujuy

In recent hours, there has been a sudden increase in the flow of the Grande River due to heavy rains. This led to a search operation that was initiated last Monday afternoon after several people, including minors, were swept away by the water currents following the rise in the river's flow.

Six residents were successfully rescued, but unfortunately, a girl did not share the same fate and is still missing, creating uncertainty among the rescue teams and the community. The competent authorities, such as the rescue brigades, firefighters, and police, continue to coordinate efforts in the search for the missing girl in the province of Jujuy, maintaining hope of finding her safe.

Despite the adverse weather conditions that required suspending searches on Monday night, operations resumed on Tuesday morning with renewed vigor. The general director of Emergencies, Ariel Mamaní, has emphasized that the top priority is to locate and rescue the minor as soon as possible.

In light of this situation and the ongoing bad weather that could provoke further increases in water flow, the population is urged to take extreme precautions and remain alert to the potential risks existing in the affected area.
