A 13-year-old dog was hit by a truck in the city of Caviahue, in Neuquén, and died on the spot. The pet's owner, María Cristina Morales, explained that she initially thought the little dog, named Jazmín, had died of a heart attack due to her old age. However, upon reviewing the security cameras, she discovered that she had been run over by the vehicle.
Morales recounted that the driver had stopped her truck because she heard a noise in the back, and when she got out of the vehicle, the accident occurred. She lamented that the driver did not alert her to try to save Jazmín, whom she described as her "four-legged daughter," highlighting how well-cared for and affectionate the dog was.
Jazmín's owner expressed her sadness about what happened and mentioned that she searched for her dog, but it was a neighbor who alerted her that the animal was resting under a willow tree. Morales detailed that the security cameras showed how the driver was talking to someone, then started the vehicle, running over the dog, and finally left the scene. When she arrived, she discovered that Jazmín had died and heard her last cry.
Morales filed a complaint with the police and plans to go to the Traffic Court to seek justice for the death of her pet. Despite not having visible injuries, the little dog Jazmín died after being hit by the truck parked on the street in her neighborhood.
