A 54-year-old man was found burned after a fire in a warehouse that housed a printing press in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Boedo. It was later confirmed that he had a gunshot wound to the head and it apparently was a suicide.
According to police sources reported by the Argentine News Agency, the Neighborhood Police Station 5 B of the City Police responded to Quintino Bocayuva Street at number 1400 in Boedo after receiving a 911 call alerting about a person threatening to commit suicide. Upon arrival, they encountered a fire in the location, which required the intervention of the City Firefighters. After extinguishing the flames, a man was discovered in a room of the warehouse with a head injury and a firearm in his hands.
Writings on the walls complaining about the treatment received by his colleagues were found by the agents, who confirmed that the man did not suffer burns in the fire and that his death was caused by a gunshot that he apparently inflicted on himself. The victim was identified as Eduardo Moguilevzky, 54 years old, and it was learned that he was involved in a sexual abuse case, which resulted in a search warrant against him and the seizure of a Bersa Thunder firearm 9mm during that procedure. Therefore, it is presumed that Moguilevzky's suicide was linked to the accusations against him.
