New school aid in Argentina for 2025

The start of the school year in 2025 will vary by jurisdiction, beginning between February 24 and March 5. Although classes start earlier than in previous years, the accreditation of the Annual School Aid payment will not take place in the same month, but within the following 60 days, according to ANSES.

The requirements to obtain this aid are clear. The children of holders of the Universal Allowance for Children (AUH) and Family Allowances must meet certain criteria. For children without disabilities, they must be between 45 days and 17 years old, attend official educational institutions, and be in initial, primary, or secondary levels. On the other hand, for children with disabilities, there is no age limit. They must attend official or special education institutions, receive specialized educational support or rehabilitation.

The process to obtain this benefit involves presenting the School Certificate. To do this, a downloadable form must be completed from the official ANSES website. Once generated, the certificate must be printed and taken to the corresponding educational institution for completion and signature. Afterwards, the signed form is uploaded to the ANSES website in the corresponding section.

The amount of the Annual School Aid in 2025 is $130,699.25 for those who meet all the requirements. This benefit will be paid once a year to AUH beneficiaries and Family Allowance for Children to help with school expenses. The presentation of the school certificate must be made in the first few days of classes, and ANSES has confirmed that along with other increases, the School Aid will receive a 2.7% increase in February 2025.
