A trans woman named Carolina Juárez was arrested in La Costa, Buenos Aires, accused of sexually exploiting several women, including a minor. The prosecutor in charge of the investigation, Walter Mercuri, worked undercover for two months to collect evidence regarding the complaint of child sexual exploitation. The arrest was made with the participation of the La Costa Police Station, the local Urban Patrol, and the Local Protection of Rights Service.

According to a judicial spokesperson, "The accused exploited several women sexually, including a minor." To support the case, undercover footage, photographs, testimonies, and social media material were collected. The rescued minor is currently receiving psychological support. The investigation into Juárez, which began on October 26, 2024, will continue, and the accused will face charges for "Promotion and facilitation of the prostitution of minors under 18 years old."

During the operation, a cellphone was seized that will be analyzed for more evidence to strengthen the case. The raid on the location where the accused operated, an underground bar in Mar del Tuyú, was authorized by the Guarantee Court No. 4, overseen by Diego Zapiola. The rescued minor is receiving psychological support, and Carolina Juárez will remain detained while awaiting her interrogation.
