In the Salta town of Metán, a man driving under the influence caused a violent accident. He crashed his car into a house and hit a 15-year-old girl sleeping in her bedroom. The incident occurred early Saturday morning around 2:00 AM at the intersection of Rivadavia and Santa Fe streets. The driver of a Renault 18 lost control, crashing into the side of a property and embedding the car into the building. Judicial sources stated the young driver was visibly intoxicated. After the crash, the driver attempted to escape but was quickly apprehended by police a few blocks away. A breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.55 grams per liter, more than three times the legal limit. The girl, who suffered arm injuries, was taken to the hospital and is out of danger. "Thank God, my daughter and I are fine," the victim's mother recounted.
