Despite repeated warnings from experts that marine animals should not be touched, the pair ignored the recommendations. Specialists note that penguins often come ashore to rest or molt, and human contact can cause them extreme stress, which can even be fatal. The video of the incident quickly went viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage. Experts from the Vicente Di Martino Natural Sciences Museum confirmed that these are migratory birds heading to Brazil at this time of year and insisted that they should not be disturbed.
