Two young men were charged with aggravated robbery in the La Matanza district of Buenos Aires Province. One was apprehended at the scene of the crime, while the other hid in his home freezer to avoid arrest and concealed evidence in a wheelchair found in the house. According to the police report accessed by the Argentine News Agency, the accused were identified as Cristian Maidana, 23, and Alexis Gonzalez, 28. The latter was the one who starred in the unusual incident during the raid. The crime occurred on February 2nd when officers observed a man struggling with a woman in the Gonzalez Catán area, at the intersection of Joaquín del Pino and Rosas streets. The criminal fled and got on a motorcycle where the driver was waiting. The rider made a bad maneuver, and as a result, both were intercepted by the police, and Maidana was arrested. Subsequently, the young man was found inside the cooling appliance with signs of hypothermia and was assisted by doctors. Gonzalez already had a criminal record for sexual abuse in 2017; robbery in 2020; a domestic violence case in 2021; among other cases. He is now mentioned under the alias "IceMan". "One of the cell phones was hers," the victim indicated. Finally, the criminal was presented to judicial authorities early in the morning. As for Gonzalez, he was subdued during a raid. At the time of the officers' entry, a woman was preventing the police action and shouting that her disabled son in a wheelchair was inside. Once the police entered the property, they verified that in the wheelchair for people with reduced mobility, there were items of interest for the investigation.
