The “Verano Bonaerense” program is consolidating itself as one of the central axes of the cultural policy of the Province of Buenos Aires, with a programming that combines massive shows, community proposals, and free activities on the coast, in the conurbation, and in the interior.
Driven by the Cultural Institute, chaired by Florencia Saintout, the cycle seeks to guarantee access to cultural assets in all municipalities, decentralize the artistic offering, and position summer as a season to enjoy culture beyond traditional tourist circuits, according to the Argentine News Agency.
In this new edition, the grid articulates talks, music, theater, literature, graphic humor, and activities for children, with a strong presence of national scene referents such as Gustavo Silvestre, Cecilia Rossetto, Tute, Selva Almada, Lidia Borda, Ana Prada, and Yamila Cafrune, along with local and regional artists.
The territorial focus is one of the distinctive features of the program, with activities distributed in squares, municipal theaters, cultural centers, and public spaces of different districts, often in coordination with municipalities, popular libraries, and social organizations, which also dynamizes the economic activity of the cultural sector.
From the official discourse, the initiative is part of a conception of culture as a right, with a focus on gratuity, accessibility, and family participation, and it also functions as a platform to reaffirm Buenos Aires identities, rescue local traditions, and promote the generational crossover between established artists and new generations of creators.
The weekly programming includes highlights at different points in the province, and the Cultural Institute invites the public to consult the complete dates, venues, and times on the official website of the organization.
