A violent episode occurred in the early hours of Saturday in the locality of Ostende, Pinamar district, where three rugby players were arrested after being involved in a group assault on three other young men who suffered minor injuries. Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the incident occurred in the Almirante Brown area, between Avellaneda and Moreno, and prompted an immediate police response after a call to the 911 emergency system. Upon arriving at the scene, officers from the Pinamar II Communal Police Station, along with personnel from the Departmental Support Group (GAD), who were involved in the 'Sun to Sun 2026' operation, managed to subdue and arrest three of those involved, who are said to have actively participated in the aggression. According to reports, the arrested individuals were part of a large group of young people who confronted and attacked the victims with blows on a public road, causing bruises and contusions. The victims, all of whom were adults, received medical attention, and it was determined that their injuries were minor and posed no risk to their health. The case was filed as 'Minor Injuries' and is under the jurisdiction of the Instructional Functional Unit (UFI) No. 5 of Pinamar, with the involvement of the Juvenile Criminal Responsibility Court, as one of the arrested individuals is a minor. The intervening prosecutor approved the police action and ordered the adoption of the corresponding legal measures for both the adult accused and the minor involved.
