On Saturday, a Patagonian train formation collided with an old car near the town of Comallo in Río Negro province, though its three occupants miraculously survived with only minor injuries. The accident occurred when the train traveling from Viedma to San Carlos de Bariloche struck a Renault 12 at a level crossing for unknown reasons and dragged it for several meters before it could stop, according to Noticias Argentinas agency. Shortly after, personnel from Subcomisaría 74 and firefighters arrived at the scene, assisting the three car occupants—a married couple and their underage son. Although they were taken to a nearby hospital, they did not suffer serious injuries. At the accident site, members of both forces carried out initial assistance and traffic control tasks, while the Criminalistics area of Bariloche was involved to conduct the corresponding investigations.
