An 81-year-old woman died on December 26 after choking on food while sharing Christmas Eve dinner with her family in the Cordobese town of Despeñaderos.
Family members tried to assist her and perform maneuvers to clear her airways, but the efforts were in vain. She was urgently transported to the Hospital of Alta Gracia.
Doctors confirmed she arrived without vital signs. The tragedy has shocked the local community.
