Actor Agustín Sierra Burns Hand on 'MasterChef Celebrity'

Actor Agustín “Cachete” Sierra had a day to forget in the latest episode of “MasterChef Celebrity”. Not only did he end up with the black apron and automatically face elimination, but he also starred in an awkward accident in front of the judges and fellow contestants.

According to what Argentine News Agency (NA) was able to confirm, during one of the challenges, the former Chiquititas star decided to prepare a roquefort, ham, and basil pizza from his own recipe. Cachete explained that he burned himself while taking the pizza out of the oven: he had a dish towel in one hand and, while manipulating the tray with the other, he had the accident. Far from dramatizing, Sierra recounted the situation with humor and said that the glove got stuck to his hand due to the heat, forcing him to take it off quickly. However, nothing went as expected, and the final result evidenced his difficulties in the kitchen.

When presenting the dish, the judges immediately noticed that the preparation was far from what was expected and also noticed a conspicuous bandage on one of his hands. “What happened to your hand?” Damián Betular asked him in surprise. Even Cachete himself joined in the jokes by describing the pale appearance of his pizza. Betular was direct in pointing out that the preparation looked like a block without sauce or distinction between the dough and the cheese. Germán Martitegui also launched sarcastic comments about the excess sodium, while Donato de Santis was especially critical, comparing the texture to cardboard.

Visibly annoyed but aware of his mistakes, Sierra closed the moment by accepting the criticisms and acknowledging that nothing had gone well in his preparation. The judges also joked about the weight of the portions and the lack of balance in the dough. According to his own admission, the distraction had to do with the bad feeling he had about the dish. “I knew it was going to go wrong,” he admitted when Betular asked him about the result, at the same time being blunt and sincere in his not-so-elegant assessment. The feedback was not any more encouraging.
