Tomorrow, Friday, December 19, San Bernardo will kick off its 41st National Fiesta de la Familia y el Sol. The festival will run until Sunday, December 21, with its epicenter at the Plaza del Sol y la Familia, where the main stage will host ballets, cultural shows, and artistic performances throughout the weekend. Admission is free and open to the public. On Saturday, December 20, at 6:00 PM, the traditional civic parade will take place. The musical lineup features a wide array of performances by local and regional artists, offering them a platform to showcase their work and be discovered by tourists. As is customary in many popular fiestas across Argentina, the event will officially begin with a blessing by the local parish priest. On Sunday, a mass will be followed by the traditional Blessing of the Waters, a symbolic ceremony that marks the start of the summer season on this stretch of the Buenos Aires Atlantic Coast. The selection of the festival queens and family-friendly activities will complete a celebration that highlights community, identity, and the festive spirit of San Bernardo, one of Argentina's premier beach destinations.
