The San Martín municipality, led by Fernando Moreira, has opened registration for the 2026 Summer Municipal Colony, which will take place in January with recreational, sports activities, and swimming for children aged 6 to 12. The program will operate from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., as a free alternative for the school break. According to the Argentine News Agency, registration is done through an online pre-registration on the municipality's website and in person at the Neighborhood Attention Centers (CAV), where families complete the paperwork and confirm availability. There will be two biweekly sessions, from January 5-16 and January 19-30, to better distribute demand. In parallel, the municipality has opened registration for a specific colony for people with disabilities aged 6 and up, which will also operate at the CeMEF, and is preparing the traditional February colony for people over 60. Additionally, the 'Summer Youth' program will be implemented for teenagers aged 13 to 18, with recreational activities at the CeMEF and traveling colonies in the neighborhoods to bring the offering closer to more residents. The Executive Branch emphasizes that the colony aims to promote play, integration, and access to sports for boys and girls from different neighborhoods of the district. Activities will be organized across three venues: the Municipal Center of Physical Education (CeMEF) with the swimming pool in José León Suárez; the Yrigoyen Park, which will use the pool of the Peretz Cultural and Sports Center; and the San Martín Park.
