Trekking: Influencer Explains the Meaning of Trail Markings

Tourism is one of the most recommended activities to do anywhere in Argentina because each province has incredible places, and every time of year is propitious for exploring them. In this context, a young influencer shared key information on her social media, which is crucial for adventure lovers in the world of trekking, although she made an important caveat. The young woman, Milagros Gallardo, with 13.2 thousand followers on her profile @miligallardo012, explained the meaning of the colors on the trails: 'If you see this sign on your next trekking and don't know what it means, you could end up on a trail that isn't for you.' She also emphasized: 'Remember these signs to avoid getting lost, but the craziest thing is that they don't always mean the same thing in all countries or regions. They change depending on the organization that set up the trail.' She concluded by saying: 'What I'm showing you today serves as a base, but always check the trailhead's information board before you start.' Red and white indicate high difficulty. The signs can be on trees, stones, or signposts. 'Parallel lines mean you are on the right path. A cross means it's not the way. And a V means a change of direction.'
