After receiving the chefs' gratitude for the joy he brought, Alex broke down on camera for the first time, with a lump in his throat. "I am very grateful. It's very hard for me to break out of the shell I'm building," confessed the participant as Wanda Nara tried to console him. In that emotional context, Alex valued the process experienced on the show and revealed his personal struggle. "Thank you for encouraging us and pushing us to break fears, to them for the good vibes and the pat on the back...," he said in his closing remarks. "I always had many conflicts and eating disorders. Thanks to the experience of being on MasterChef I improved my bond with the moment of eating, I connected more, I started to give it a quota of value," he shared.
