The Government of the Province of Buenos Aires has confirmed an orange alert for storms for this Saturday afternoon and evening, according to the National Meteorological Service (SMN). Heavy rains and wind gusts of up to 80 km/h are expected. According to information from the SMN reported by the Argentine News Agency (NA), heavy rain in short periods, intense electrical activity, and occasional hail are expected. Rainfall accumulations of between 20 and 50 mm are forecast, which could be exceeded. The most affected area would be the northwest and part of the center of the province. In contrast, the AMBA area (including CABA and most of the metropolitan area) is under a yellow alert. The extreme southeast of the province, including the Atlantic Coast zone with cities like Mar del Plata, Necochea, LoberĂ­a, and San Cayetano, remains under a green code, indicating minimal risk.
