Police have identified a 15-year-old minor as the suspected arsonist who destroyed a chapel in the Buenos Aires coastal resort of Pehuén Có, where several satanic paintings were also found.

The fire occurred on November 1st at the Sagrada Familia chapel, located between San Martín and Lauquen Mapu streets in the locality belonging to the Coronel Rosales district. Following the incident, which completely destroyed the facilities, and as part of various investigations, the Police, along with the Fiscal Aid, analyzed in parallel that various satanic graffiti had also been recorded in the surroundings.

During the investigation, it was confirmed that the fire had been intentional, and with various data, the police carried out a raid on a house in the resort, where clothing allegedly used in the arson and a mobile phone were seized.

Spokespersons stated that, as a result, a minor was identified as the presumed author of the act, who was subsequently admitted to a healthcare center due to a suspected case of poisoning.

As a result of the situation, the Minor's Fiscal Unit became involved in the case, filed under 'damage and investigation of the cause of the fire'.
