
The authorities of Argentina have shown residents of the remote village of Puerto-Almanza in the south of the country are to be evacuated due to the risk of tsunamis after earthquakes near the southern coast.
In turn, Chilean authorities have advised the evacuation of the Magallanes region in the far south of the country following a strong earthquake in the sea.
"We received information about the probability of tsunamis, and, following protocols, we started the evacuation process to prevent damage," said a representative of Argentine authorities.
At the same time, the Chilean National Institute of Seismology and Volcanology reported that the magnitude of the earthquake was 7.1 and was recorded in the sea off the coast of Chile, and the depth of the epicenter was about 15 kilometers.
