The National Meteorological Service issued a warning for heavy storms in several areas of the country during Holy Week. There is a possibility of hail and gusts of wind, accompanied by heavy precipitation in short periods. The accumulated precipitation values will range between 15 and 45 mm, possibly exceeding in specific locations.

According to the SMN, the provinces affected by this yellow alert include Jujuy (south), Salta (central), Tucumán (entire), and Catamarca (south). It is important to follow the recommendations of the agency to prevent possible risk situations during the storms.

In areas with a yellow alert, isolated storms are expected, some of them locally strong. It is advised to remove objects that may obstruct water flow, avoid outdoor activities, not seek shelter near trees or utility poles that may fall, and pay attention to the possible fall of hail.

Moreover, it is recommended to stay informed through local authorities and always have an emergency backpack ready with a flashlight, radio, documents, and phone. It is essential to follow these guidelines to minimize risks and act cautiously in adverse weather conditions.
