
This Saturday, March 8, the International Women's Day is commemorated, and in Argentina, various demonstrations and protests are expected in different parts of the country. The main concentration will take place in Plaza Italia starting at 8:30 in rejection of the policies implemented by the national and provincial government.
In Córdoba, the mobilization will begin at 17:00 at the intersection of Colón and Cañada streets, aiming to reach Patio Olmos. This march occurs amidst the jury trial for the femicide of Catalina Gutiérrez, at the hands of Néstor Soto.
In Santa Fe, organizations and residents will gather in Plaza San Martín in Rosario, then head towards the National Flag Monument. In Salta, a concentration of thousands of people is expected in Plaza 9 de Julio starting at 18:00, following a traditional route through various points in the city.
In Entre Ríos, the largest mobilization is expected in Plaza 1 de Mayo in Paraná, organized by the Participatory Assembly of Women, Lesbians, Transvestites, Trans, and Non-Binaries, with a route through central streets to the esplanade of the Government House.
In other provinces like Misiones, Río Negro, Buenos Aires City, Mendoza, Neuquén, San Juan, and Formosa, protests and activities will also take place as part of the fight for women's rights.
In Buenos Aires City, a large mobilization with various trade union, feminist, and social organizations is expected, beginning with a concentration at the National Congress and continuing with the march to Plaza de Mayo. In Mendoza, the gathering is at 17:00 at the intersection of Onelli and Brown streets, then heading towards the Civic Center.
In different towns across the country, women and dissidents will unite in the streets to express their rejection of the gender policies implemented by the government and to commemorate the struggle for equality and the rights of all.
