Mitre Line Trains Resume Service After Power Outage

A failure in the power supply affected the Retiro station at 5:34 AM, being resolved at 8:19 AM. The incident impacted passengers and the service of the Mitre Line. The Tigre Branch resumed its full route between Retiro and Tigre, while the J.L. Suárez Branch returned to operate between its terminals. After more than two and a half hours of interruption, the Mitre line completely restored its service on all its branches, although delays and cancellations persist, especially on the Bmé Branch. Frequencies on the Mitre Line have normalized, although they remain affected.

The rail operator warned of possible delays and cancellations during the morning as frequencies are being reorganized. The power outage at the train terminal caused chaos, with thousands of users seeking transport alternatives during peak hours. This generated long lines at bus stops and a considerable increase in demand for taxis and mobility app services.

Although railway authorities have not provided details about the cause of the failure, they have confirmed that the power supply has been fully restored.
