During a lifeguard rescue competition in Costa Azul, a group of lifeguards became involved in a fight. The event was organized by the Unico Union of Lifeguards and Related Workers of the Argentine Republic (SUGARA), where participants had to rescue a person who was simulating drowning in the water.
The fight reportedly started when a lifeguard from Santa Teresita blocked the way of a competitor from San Bernardo to prevent him from reaching the finish line. This triggered a fight between the members of both teams. In a video that went viral on social media, the fight between the lifeguards can be seen, with the intervention of tourists trying to separate them.
Despite the intensity of the fight, there were no reports of injuries or arrests as a result of the confrontation, which took place in Parque de la Costa.
