Upcoming Holidays and Long Weekends in Argentina

Argentina celebrates various national holidays and local observances, including long weekends in March for Carnival. Key dates include independence days, and local anniversaries.

Upcoming Holidays and Long Weekends in Argentina

The next holiday in Argentina falls this Friday, January 31, giving a considerable number of Argentines an additional day off. It is a local holiday in Lobería and Villa Moll, two municipalities in the province of Buenos Aires, in commemoration of their foundation anniversaries. For municipal employees and Bank Provincia employees, this holiday is mandatory, but for other sectors it is optional and left to the discretion of employers.

The calendar will continue to offer days to relax and enjoy a well-deserved rest. The next long weekend at the national level will not occur until the Carnival celebrations in 2025, scheduled by the Government for Monday, March 3, and Tuesday, March 4. This holiday will extend over four days by adding the preceding weekend.

According to the holiday calendar for 2025 in Argentina, the National Day of Memory for Truth and Justice stands out on March 24, Veteran's Day and Fallen in the Malvinas War on April 2, as well as Holy Week on April 18 and 19. Additionally, there are festivities such as Labor Day on May 1 and the May Revolution Day on May 25. These commemorative days will be ideal occasions to rest, reflect, or enjoy with friends and family.
