The president of Grupo Alpha Media, Marcelo Fígoli, has celebrated the 40th anniversary of Rock and Pop radio by announcing an upcoming festival with a "powerful line up." Fígoli highlighted the effort behind the revival of the station, mentioning that they were on the brink of closure. In a conversation with journalist Ari Paluch, he expressed his satisfaction: "I am a businessman in various fields, for some it's bad, for others it's good. Let's hope it's a success."
Fígoli revealed that the exact date of the festival will be known in early February and that the event is scheduled to take place in September or October. Remembering the initial situation of the radio when they acquired it, he mentioned that other stations like Rivadavia or Splendid were in similar circumstances and that all have regained their relevance.
The president of Grupo Alpha Media added: "We will have the Rock and Pop Festival. I brought (Luciano) Pavarotti, (Andrea) Bocelli, and any rock or Latin band." He emphasized his extensive experience in the entertainment world and his diversity of businesses, which has earned him criticism but also success.
Fígoli stressed the importance of having a "powerful line up" for the festival and shared details about the challenges they faced when acquiring the station. In addition, he mentioned that he owns companies in various sectors such as entertainment, food, and energy.
