Used motorcycle sales in Argentina rose by 24% in October, indicating an improvement in the market. Honda leads with 31% of operations among brands.


Increase in Used Motorcycle Sales in Argentina

In October, the sales of used motorcycles in Argentina increased by 24%, indicating a possible recovery of the sector. This increase is partly attributed to the relevance of motorcycles in transporting small loads and delivery services.

According to a report from the Motorcycle Division of the Association of Automotive Dealers, a total of 48,235 units were transferred last month, showing a 24% increase compared to the same period last year, when 38,808 transfers were recorded. Additionally, there was a 9.5% increase compared to September, which recorded 44,119 units transferred.

So far this year, 397,706 transfers of used motorcycles have been recorded, representing an 8% increase compared to the same period last year, when 368,980 transfers were recorded.

In the market analysis, Honda positioned itself as the undisputed leading brand, with 31% of the operations, followed by Yamaha with 12%. Motomel and Zanella tied for third place, each with 9%, while Corven reached 7% and Bajaj along with Gilera shared fifth place with 5% participation in the operations.

Regarding the most popular models, the Honda Wave 110 S topped the list with 2,407 units transferred, followed by the Gilera Smash with 1,323. The Honda XR 150L took third place with 1,229 units, and the Motomel B110 surprisingly secured fourth place with 1,102 units, surpassing the Honda XR250 Tornado, which finished fifth with 1,059 units transferred.
