Central Bank Strengthens Reserves with $245 Million Purchase

The Central Bank of Argentina purchased $245 million today in the Foreign Exchange Market, boosting its international reserves, now over $30 billion. The blue dollar is trading at $1,120 for buyers.


Central Bank Strengthens Reserves with $245 Million Purchase

The Central Bank increased its international reserves by acquiring US$ 245 million in the Unique and Free Exchange Market, thus surpassing 30 billion to reach US$ 30.023 billion. In a context of stability in the exchange market, the blue dollar remained at $1,120 for buying and $1,140 for selling. Meanwhile, the quotes for financial dollars, both MEP and CCL, ranged between $1,120 and $1,157.

At the Banco Nación, the official dollar stood at $978.50 for buying and $1,018.50 for selling. Regarding the card dollar, after the modifications implemented by the Government on the perceptions regarding this exchange rate, it was offered at $1,629.60. The exchange gap in the informal market was at 11.92%, with the parallel dollar closing at $1,025 at the end of the year and currently trading at $1,140.

The CCL dollar moved to $1,155.80 for buying and $1,157.60 for selling, while the MEP dollar was offered at $1,120.20 and $1,120.50 respectively.
