Aerolíneas Argentinas and unions reach preliminary agreement

After an intense day of negotiations, the aviation unions that met with the authorities of Aerolíneas Argentinas reached a preliminary agreement. However, this preliminary agreement still needs to be approved by the workers' assemblies. Although at times it seemed like the situation was repeating itself from the previous day, this time there is consensus on the agreed points, although nothing has been signed yet.

The Association of Airline Pilots (APLA) issued a statement mentioning that negotiations with Aerolíneas Argentinas continue regarding the salary conflict. They warned that the conversations could extend into the late hours of the night and stated that if an agreement is reached, it would be submitted for approval to the respective assemblies convened urgently.

In the statement, it was also emphasized the importance of not giving media coverage to the agreement until it is finalized, to avoid possible political or communication repercussions. Unity, solidarity, and commitment were highlighted as essential values to achieve a common goal after a prolonged conflict triggered by a legitimate demand.

Negotiations continued through the early morning, with APLA being the union that led the conversations more firmly. Meanwhile, with the Argentine Association of Navigators (AAA) and the Association of Aeronautical Personnel (APA), representatives of cabin crew and ramp workers respectively, more concrete approaches were made. Although no document has been signed yet, everything points to a quick resolution of the conflict.

The pilots' union specifically negotiated cuts in their labor benefits and a salary increase linked to the productive model, where more flight hours would correspond to a higher salary.
