Banking Salary Agreement in Argentina

The Banking Association announced that negotiations will continue in the second half of March 2025 regarding the update of remuneration for banking workers. They emphasized the importance of maintaining gross monthly income, including all types of remuneration, both wage and non-wage, along with additional benefits, conventional and non-conventional, such as Banking Day. This agreement was reached with business chambers and proposes a salary increase of 2.7% for October, paired with the Consumer Price Index.

The banking union, led by Sergio Palazzo, ensured that monthly inflation indices will be applied to protect the purchasing power of their representatives. It was agreed that this adjustment mechanism will remain in place until February 2025, with a cumulative increase in the year of 107%. This salary increase raises the minimum wage for banking employees to 1,492,602.84 pesos plus an additional Gain Participation, reaching a total of 1,566,761.98 pesos.

The update for October will be paid along with the November salaries. The agreement includes all forms of remuneration, both conventional and non-conventional, and the same salary adjustment process will continue in November, December, January, and February, based on the monthly inflation indices published by INDEC. In March, negotiations will resume to evaluate new updates and decide whether to continue with this method of salary adjustment.
