New Federal Repair Regime Announced

The Deputy Chief of the Cabinet, Lisandro Catalán, presented on Thursday the new "Federal Repair Regime", an initiative aimed at simplifying debts between the Nation and the provinces. In a press conference, Catalán stated that the main objective is to move towards true federalism, working together with the governors to establish a balance in the compensations between both parties.

"This regime invites the provinces to join in to start anew, where the financial relations between the Nation and the Provinces are clear," emphasized Catalán. He also stressed the importance of allowing provincial jurisdictions to have autonomy in decision-making to shape their own destiny.

The official expressed that the goal is to foster dialogue with the 24 provinces in order to overcome the fiscal difficulties that have arisen. Catalán highlighted that this is a voluntary regime and he is confident that its implementation will be successful, as it aims to promote the development of productive forces and regional economies throughout the country.
